Most Memorable Incident: Skating 87 Miles A2A 2003. 10 of us from Texas Flyers trained together for a year to prepare. We skated together and worked as a team the whole way and finished at 5 hours 30 minutes. It was an amazing day and a glorious feeling to cross the finish line together. We were so glad it was over and at the same time we wished it was just starting to experience it all again.

What do you get from Skating: FI love the comaraderie of skating with friends and teammates. Working together for a good skate or race. Helping/encouraging new skaters move up in technique and training.

Would like to do this Year in Skating: Skate more marathons and maybe compete in the World Masters Inline Marathon Championships

Coolest Accomplishment: Getting my husband to visit Ireland. He's not big on traveling outside the country. But Ireland was wonderful and he loved it.

Helpful advice to other skaters/ Beginners: Have fun! Ask questions. We all love to help. We all started off as beginners. My first recreational skate in 1999 was fun, but they had to pull/push me the last mile of the 5 mile route.
