Favorite Time of Day to Skate: Veloway early afternoon for winter & early morning for summer.

Favorite Skating Events: Half marathon; and dreaming about doing the double push

Awards / Competitive Wins: Road Rash, half marathons -- two 3rds and two 1sts in age group.

Most memorable incident / Biggest skating adventure: First evening of an Eddie Metzger work shop doing a "get acquainted" skate – going through downtown Dallas and coming downhill to stop lights in heavy traffic and wishing I knew how to stop.

What do I get from skating: Aerobic fitness with endorphins; strengthens my marginal lower back; the challenge of acquiring better form in a fast moving, 3 dimensional movement; all the other friendly skaters; access to speed.

Would like to do this year in skating:Working on getting into a lower stance with more push at the end of the stroke and with more pendulum action.

Coolest Accomplishment: Helping to raise our two daughters, helping to start up 3 tech companies, and the book I am writing right now.

Other sports / hobbies you enjoy: Lap swimming, gym for core work out and squats, walking the dog in Walnut Creek Park, canoeing, sub woofer design, beer and wine making, and cooking (viva Habanero!).
