Biggest skating adventure: 2004 A2A (First Event) - Being able to skate on recreational skates 52 miles and finishing without falling...met up with a 61 one year old man who had skated this event for 15 years and he chose to skate with me, so I wouldn't be alone; we crossed the finish line together!

Your 'why'/ what do you get from skating: Skating allows me to meet interesting people and hear their stories. I really enjoy the friendships I have made. I like 'trying' to stay in shape. I never have to go to the gym.

Would like to do this year in skating: I am skating the St. Paul Marathon in August. Would love to go to Duluth in September and back to Atlanta in October My goal for the rest of this year is to keep skating.

Coolest Accomplishment: Finishing the A2A and still being able to walk afterwards. I had only trained for 3 months and wasn't sure I could even do it.

Other sports/hobbies you enjoy: I enjoy riding my new motorcycle, photography, traveling, and I bought a new home, so I really enjoy working in my yard.

Favorite skating gadget/tool: Well, my favorite new product are the ezee-fit neoprene booties...won't skate without them!

Mentors: John Cooper has always motivated me to be better. He bought me my first pair of speed-skates, which were hand-me downs from Debbie Rice...I think there was a little mojo left in them...thanks Debbie!

Helpful advice to other skaters/ Beginners: Skate because you can...it brings out the kid in you.
